Morgan Moreno

Guest Teacher

Morgan grew up in rural Oregon, where she spent most of her childhood building forts with cattails, baking mudpies, or tending handmade sanctuaries for foraged woodlice. She spent hours daily outside in the sun, snow, or rain, kickstarting a lifelong appreciation for the outdoors. After having her first child, she became fascinated with alternative teaching methods such as Montessori, Waldorf, and RIE. This innate love for the great outdoors and deep passion for child development have cultivated Morgan’s holistic teaching approach, which weaves the threads of education with the enchantment of nature.

Morgan is guided by the unwavering belief in the transformative power of experiential learning, curiosity, discovery, and appropriate risk-taking, which nurture a child’s natural sense of wonder. Central to this ethos is her belief that every rustling leaf, babbling brook, or soaring bird offers a wellspring of inspiration and insight, capable of nurturing the purest form of learning. Her child-centered approach encourages children to exercise their freedom to think and move independently of direct instruction. In her world, the instructor's role is to observe, follow, and channel the currents of each child's imagination, fostering an environment where thought and movement flow organically, allowing a child to act as the lead role in their own education.
