Harvest Festival: Michaelmas

We warmly invite you to join us in celebrating the Michaelmas Festival on Friday, September 29, 2023. Set amidst the beautiful surroundings of our forest school, the event will unfold from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, offering a day filled with enriching activities for children and adults alike.

Michaelmas, a festival of courage and inner strength, traditionally marks the end of the harvest and the beginning of autumn's cool, crisp days. This celebration embodies the spirit of renewal and the harvest season, reflecting the transformative qualities of nature that surround us.

The day's activities and crafts have been carefully curated for children and adults alike. Children can also test their bravery in the dragon run obstacle course, an exciting activity that highlights the spirit of Saint Michael.

We invite all attendees to contribute to our potluck lunch - a delightful opportunity to share the season's bounty with our community. Please bring along a dish that represents the richness of the autumn harvest.

Throughout the day, we'll enjoy live performances of traditional songs and storytelling, culminating in a communal fire circle where we'll gather to share stories of courage and sing songs that celebrate the season.

As we bid farewell to the day amidst the golden autumn light, the children will lead us in a symbolic Dragon Parade, a reflection of overcoming fear and embracing the strength within us.

Looking forward to celebrating with you amidst the rustling autumn leaves, embracing the season and our vibrant community!
